The name ArtHotel says it all. Art and culture are at the heart of the hotel. In the lobby, artists can present their works to visitors in changing exhibitions. And every room in the ArtHotel has its own individual touch. All the basic details and designs of the new hotel in Havelberg were developed by Kiebitzberg® Managing Director Andreas Lewerken: Visual axes, floor plans, furniture designs and the decision on pictures and graphics in the rooms were all created according to his specifications.

Artists at the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg®

„I am particularly pleased that I was able to persuade Waltraud Henschel to make prints by her husband, the Havelberg painter Kurt Hentschel, available for the house,“ says Andreas Lewerken. Also and especially because both Henschel and one of his students, Agnes-Josephine Lutter, are now represented in almost every room. The young sculptor and painter completed her training in Rostock at the beginning of the year and is showing a selection of her work here.

Art from Northern Germany

In collaboration with gallery owner Silvia Henschel, the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg® is home to an exciting selection of different artists who can present their work in Havelberg. These include graphics, sculptures and paintings.

Agnes-Josephine Lutter

The daughter of Renate and Andreas Lewerken completed her training at the RTK in 2011 and has been working in her studio for painting and sculpture in Rostock ever since. She is showing a selection of her works in the hotel.

Friedemann Henschel

Voluptuous clay figures with a fun factor and imagination of the hands. This is Friedemann Henschel, the „enfant terrible“ of the pottery. The „fat woman“ has taken a liking to him. The ceramist has created countless versions of the voluptuous lady, often in combination with objects, animals or mythical creatures, but sometimes just for himself or for his friends Renate and Andreas Lewerken, who are enthusiastic about the charisma of „fat Tilla“. That is why she has a special place in several places in the hotel.

Felix Büttner
