He sacrificed half his fortune to women. In vain, as he ironically
must conclude that, at best, all women are capable of keeping their canaries

After a few skirmishes, the situation escalates dramatically. Better to shoot than to
Love! seems to be the only possible outcome for both of them in the end.
The Parktheater EDELBRUCH has given Chekhov's one-act play a refreshing new twist. It
explores the battle of the sexes in his comical yet tragic
Moments of slapstick and pointed humor. Pantomimic dream images provide
for atmospheric sequences, because alongside all the madness, there is always the question of how
despite all the clichés and conventions, love still finds a happy ending
could be realized.
Kristin Giertler and Thomas Kornmann are a proven artist duo. Together
They appeared in many roles on stage, including at the Monbijou Theater in Berlin, formerly
„Hexenkessel Hoftheater“ (Witches„ Cauldron Courtyard Theater), and are co-founders of the improvisational theater "Turbine."
William wie die Birne (William Like a Pear). They have been performing together at the Parktheater Edelbruch since 2008.
