In the heart of Germany's green northeast, on the Havel and Elbe rivers

Discover Havelberg from its most beautiful side—on the water!

The Elbe and Havel rivers converge in this cathedral, Hanseatic, and island city, offering many opportunities for outdoor activities along the Elbe Cycle Route and the Romanesque Road. As part of the „Blue Ribbon“ project, Havelberg is a hub for water tourism in the region. Come and see for yourself.

Journey to the east – towards the biosphere reserve

You start the trip towards Havelberg, passing the Spül- und Campinginsel (flushing and camping island), and first enter the winter harbor to enjoy the silhouette of Havelberg. As you leave, you will see the Haus der Flüsse (House of Rivers) in front of you, which was opened in 2015 for the BUGA (Federal Horticultural Show). The skipper will then take you past our Kiebitzberg® shipyard. After continuing on, you will see the old fishing village of Vehlgast on your left.

On a planned 6-hour tour, you will reach Strodehne, the village in the Westhavelland Nature and Star Park. Take a break here and then start your journey back to ArtHotel Kiebitzberg®.

Journey to the north – toward the Elbe-Havel lock

Along the Blue Ribbon in Saxony-Anhalt.
The stage from Havelberg to the Havel estuary passes a German Armed Forces training area. On this side, you will pass Beaver Island. Other animals such as cranes can also be seen here.
