New Year's concert with Felix Reuter
That darn Beethoven
+++ A brand new program by pianist and comedian Felix Reuter! +++
To mark the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth in 2020, this show concert will provide amazing insights into the musical work of the famous composer. In true Felix Reuter style, the background to the life of Beethoven, who was only 1.60 meters tall, is illuminated comedically and with a large pinch of humour.
He was an excellent scold - about his domestic helpers, who were therefore constantly changing, about bad food, about other people. He changed his place of residence a total of 68 times - strange! Maybe that's why he didn't get many visitors? In any case, you never knew where he was living. And why was he so angry about the lost penny? Who was Elise really? What is the story behind the Moonlight Sonata? Was lead really the cause of his death?
Questions upon questions...
In this extraordinary show concert, the audience also experiences how Beethoven's most famous works suddenly sound like completely different well-known melodies with just a few changes. Unique. Grandiose.
