Literature activists Domink Bartels and Jörg Schwedler read satirical stories about life in the former workers' and farmers' state. The two authors transform every venue into the VEB Literaturbetrieb (literary enterprise), the Kombinat für Wortkunst (word art combine) or the LPG Satire (satire agricultural production cooperative). The East German authors show that the GDR had more to offer than broilers, Trabis and Spreewald gherkins. This is not an Ostalgie show. More a tongue-in-cheek look back at childhood as a pioneer, growing up in the Wild West, and the absurdities and nonsense of everyday life. Of course, Pfeffi is served and the GDR is philosophized about. Chef Hubert Plos conjures up an authentic 3-course menu to accompany the show.
