Jazz guitarist Axel Fischbacher, born in Lübeck in 1956, has long been one of the top soloists on the European scene.

At the beginning of his career, he was often employed as a sideman for various rock and pop artists, but he quickly turned his attention exclusively to jazz.

Fischbacher has mastered all styles of this genre, from bebop to jazz rock to blues, and combines them to create his characteristic sound.

Axel Fischbacher is constantly on tour and in the studio, working in Europe, Canada, and the USA. He has performed at renowned jazz festivals, released 11 albums as a bandleader, and contributed to over 50 recordings.

Axel Fischbacher is also the initiator and artistic director of two jazz concert series in North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as several international jazz masterclasses in Hilden.

The current CD, „Five Birds,“ is dedicated to one of the true giants of jazz: Charlie „Bird“ Parker. When the CD was released in 2016, it was showered with praise and was released in both vinyl and CD formats, in keeping with the style.
