The SAGO SONG SALON - Real songs, real people!
The Sago Song Salon opens a window into a world that has been connecting artists for decades. A mysterious network of poets, songwriters and musical storytellers has developed - driven by a shared desire to strive for something special with their songs.
At the center SAGO, „a poetry seminar in the manner of the old baroque poets“, founded in 1989 by Christof Stählin and described with the „esprit of a French encyclopaedist“ (Süddeutsche Zeitung, 31.10.2022). Here, ideas are not only discussed, but purified, fueled and condensed in almost alchemical processes. Ideas become songs, lines of songs become worlds of thought - lively, intense and often surprising.
The Song Salon: a stage for words, melodies & encounters
What is created in the SAGO circle takes place in the Song Salon its stage. Sebastian Krämer and Matthias Binner bring together poets, singer-songwriters, friends, companions, discoveries and insider tips as part of this special format. The mixture of renowned voices and new impulses makes every evening unique.
In the Song Salon, songs are sung, stories are told and moments are shared - sometimes carefully prepared, sometimes completely spontaneous. The stage becomes a space for encounters, listening and togetherness. And it all happens for the most important element of the evening: the audience. For whom else?
