Throughout her musical career, Dota Kehr has not lost an inch of her artistic freedom. On the contrary. She has succeeded in creating a foundation for her independence on which she can dance as she pleases. And she is now doing so for the second time in Havelberg.

In the KunstQuartier Together with Jan Rohrbach, she brings the hall to life. She says she only has two types of songs: sad ones and scary ones. And so, with so much wordplay, there is always both: jubilant applause and liberating cheerfulness. The lyrics are razor-sharp and unambiguous in every syllable. Songs between fear and courage, confidence and resignation.

Security or a thirst for adventure? Optimism or suspicion? Fear of the unknown—in a time and world where there seems to be no place left where one can feel safe. Above all, safe from one's own doubts and worries, anger, and the desire to change something.

Dota Kehr seeks approaches and solutions, finds escape routes and vantage points. Eyes open and onwards. Even when your heart is beating in your throat. The audience fights for encore after encore, and after the concert there is still opportunity for many intense conversations.
