A look back at more than a decade of concerts, readings and artists at the ArtHotel Kiebitzberg
For a whole weekend, the KunstQuartier became a rehearsal room full of rhythm and harmony. Led by Frank Wedel, participants sang modern, rousing gospel songs, no musical experience required and with plenty of joy in making music together.
With their programme “Motherland”, the Dieter Ilg Trio brought jazz of the highest calibre to the KunstQuartier. Dieter Ilg on bass, Rainer Böhm on piano and Patrice Héral on drums wove classical, folk and jazz into an intense, moving evening of rare closeness to the music.
In the hotel park and on the sun terrace, guests enjoyed a summery 4-course menu from the creative kitchen — culinary delight in a stylish all-white setting.
The band HORCH played folk rock on Ascension Day in the Lindenpark — a barbecue and beer wagon invited families and hikers to linger a while.

For ten weeks, the Leipzig artist Michael Fischer-Art turned the KunstQuartier into a luminous world of pictures, bold pop art full of figures, political and tongue in cheek. Under the motto “My name is Art … Fischer-Art!”, every work was on show free of charge during the opening hours of the house.
Cabaret award winner Lennart Schilgen returned with his third programme — songs and poems about the detours and diversions of the world and of one's own mind, full of lightness, wit and sly punchlines.
