Michael Fischer-Art
"My name is Art … Fischer-Art!" — 20 June to 30 August 2026 at the ArtHotel.
Colored concrete.
Born in Leipzig in 1969, Michael Fischer-Art gained admission to the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig in 1992 — after training as a bricklayer, painter and psychiatric nurse. He became known for his boldly colorful façade and pop-art paintings, which transform entire building complexes into vivid worlds of imagery: political, tongue-in-cheek, full of figures.
"Life is beautiful, a building site and colorful. Peace is the goal. Reason the precondition."
— Michael Fischer-Art
